If You Have Wrinkles, as Many Bay Area Folks Do, Botox May, or May Not Be the Answer

If you suffer from wrinkles there is some good news. You are not alone! Many people here in San Mateo, Foster City, and indeed the entire San Francisco Bay Area, suffer from wrinkles as they get older, and it is true that some people just regard it as a fact of life and take no notice.

However, if you want to look your absolute best – which the majority of people do – then you need to get rid of those wrinkles. But how?

Well, at Silicon Valley Aesthetic Dermatology we have many different options for you at our skin care clinic in Foster City. In fact, we have all possible options, so we can provide whatever is the best treatment for each individual. No two people are exactly the same, and it follows that what is the correct treatment for one person is not the best for another. Our aim is always to provide each patient with the most appropriate procedure, whatever it may be.

So, we could recommend ultherapy, which uses ultrasound, a laser treatment (of which there are several options), or maybe an injectable, of which, again, there are several options.

Of course, one injectable which everyone has heard of is Botox in the Bay Area. Botox works by treating the nerves in your skin and it is recommended for crow’s feet, forehead lines, and severe frown lines. However, as good as it is, we have to say that Botox in the Bay Area may not be the most appropriate treatment for you.

Vendor Neutral on Skincare Products

We consider ourselves to be “vendor neutral” by which we mean that we don’t recommend this or that procedure just because it is the most expensive, and therefore we make more profit. No, we will advise you on the procedure which is the right one for your individual skin condition. What is the correct procedure for one patient may not be the most appropriate for the next. It may be Botox in the Bay Area, or it may not.

For instance, Restylane may be a better option. Even within the Restylane brand there are several different products. These are hyaluronic acid fillers which produce natural-looking results.

There is also Radiesse. This is a produce which stimulates the growth of collagen. Collagen is the main structural protein in the skin and is what keeps it looking tight and youthful. Unfortunately, as we get older, our bodies produce less collagen and therefore the skin begins to sag. So Radiesse works by persuading our bodies to produce more collagen.

Of course, without examining your skin condition, we don’t know what would be best for you. It might be Botox in the Bay Area, but then again it might be something completely different.
